Patrick works on the value of future lives, how we ought to distribute goods and whether future people can be said to have claims on them. His interests include Population Ethics & Moral Uncertainty, as well as the Ethics of War, a topic on which he supervises students for the University of Stirling. In the past, Patrick has been a Visiting Scholar at the University of Pittsburgh and a Visiting Researcher at the Future of Humanity Institute (Oxford). He has a PhD in Moral Philosophy from the University of Glasgow.
