‘One Health’ outbreak investigation workshop

Using a case study of an outbreak among humans and domestic animals, we will simulate an outbreak investigation in the form of a table-top exercise using a One Health lens. Participants will take the role of the outbreak investigators within a conflict setting and learn essential skills covering outbreak management, with the added complexity of in a conflict area, as well as basic epidemiological concepts and calculations. This workshop is particularly suitable for healthcare professionals who are not epidemiologists but could encounter infectious disease outbreaks in their professional context, particularly abroad. It is also suited for junior epidemiologists with limited professional experience or those interested in transitioning into such a role.
