14 Sep 2023 17:30 - 18:30 Room SG1, Alison Richard Building, 7 West Road, Cambridge

Description

Film screening and panel conversation

Inspired by The Authority Gap by Mary Ann Sieghart (2021), this event provokes thoughts around the telling of women’s stories.

There will be a 30 minute programme of 7 short films, including Because Goddess is Never Enough by Jane Glennie, a film by Helen Dewbery from the poetry collection In an Ideal World I’d Not be Murdered by Chaucer Cameron, Gillian by Kabecca Films, Sylvia: Redux by The Redux Project, and an excerpt from Birdcage by Katy Howe. Films that find slivers of space between the fear and the yearning.

This will be followed by a Q&A/in conversation discussion with filmmaker Jane Glennie, poet Chaucer Cameron, and choreographer Katie Dale-Everett of Kabecca Films.
