10 Oct 2022 12:00 - 14:00 Boardroom, Faculty of Philosophy, Sidgwick Site, Cambridge

Description

An event organised by the Illuminating Friendship research network.

Speaker

  • Mahzad Hojjat (Psychology, UMass Dartmouth)

Abstract

Friendships have traditionally received much less attention from researchers than have romantic relationships. In recent years, however, friendships have gained increased importance both in our modern relationships and in academic circles. In this talk, we will review what we know so far about forgiveness in friendships, including findings from recent research touching on individual differences and relationship-level factors in the forgiving process. The talk will end with future directions and questions from the audience.
