7 Feb 2019 - 8 Feb 2019 9:00am McDonald Institute

Description

Ancient Egyptian concepts of use, reuse and ownership, which have been raised by data from CT scanning and X radiography of the Museum’s coffin collection form the agenda of this multi-disciplinary workshop which aims to build a network of international partners to collaborate in reporting evidence of reuse and recycling; and to frame questions that might be answered successfully through studying the data captured.

Convenor: Helen Strudwick

The workshop is being supported by a Cambridge Humanities Research Grant and a grant from the Marlay Group of the Fitzwilliam Museum.

Places are limited and must be booked in advance. Online booking will open shortly. Sign up to our mailing list to be notified of opportunities to book for these and other CDH events.
