6 Feb 2018 5:00pm - 7:00pm Seminar room SG1, Alison Richard Building

Description

Helen Goalen
Abbi Greenland

The Performance Network is delighted to welcome Helen Goalen and Abi Greenland, founder performers of RASHDASH, the theatre company that gave us the extraordinary award-winning Two Man Show (https://www.rashdash.co.uk/two-man-show/). They will discuss this experience, their next projects (versions of Chekhov’s Three Sisters and Aristophanes’ Lysistrata), and their approach to original and found material: how their practice has evolved, and their attitude to the creation of meaning: “We won’t pretend we’re not pretending”. Their approach results in meanings which can only be performed, and reveal what else is always being performed – via the body, language, and relationships. After a brief Q & A with Clare Foster and Rachel Stroud, questions will be open to the floor.

Open to all. No registration required.
