Timothy Morton (University of California-Davis)
The Ecological Thought
Timothy Morton is Professor of Literature and Environment at UCD. His new book Ecology without Nature (Harvard University Press, 2007) explores the value of art in imagining environmental projects for the future, developing a fresh vocabulary for reading “environmentality” in artistic form as well as content, and traces the contexts of ecological constructs through the history of capitalism.
This event is part of the Cultures of Climate Change Research Group Seminar series.
Meetings are held on alternate Mondays in term from 5pm to 7pm at CRASSH.
