Founder and principal of the Marabi Film Academy in Tirana, Albanian film director Kujtim Çashku will be in conversation with Gareth Jones of Scenario Films, a visiting fellow of Çashku's Film Academy and a part-time PhD student of St John's, Cambridge.
They will offer a paper on Albanian film, present extracts from Çashku's films, and discuss his paradoxical career under the theme of Censorship and Freedom: Presenting the Evidence.
Questions will be accompanied by refreshments.
The premiere of Çashku's Magic Eye will follow at 8pm at the Cambridge Arts Picturehouse.
