10 Jul 2006 - 12 Jul 2006 All day Westminster College, University of Cambridge

Description

Convenors: Lucia Faltin (University of Cambridge) and Jolanta Ambrosewicz

The conference explores, both in theory and in practice, the relationship between religion and contemporary European identity It will enable participants to tackle some of the more difficult issues, which are often not addressed in public life or international diplomacy because international and inter-communal discourse is often fuelled by religio-cultural sensitivities to the detriment of critical assessment. Online discussion will serve as a complementary tool for the conference and the subsequent international seminar series. The conference will help assess the contribution of electronic communication to international scholarly debate.
