Debating the Evidence: Climate Change

What are the costs of climate change – economic, social, human, and environmental? How can the effects of climate change be mitigated or reversed, and what can be done to heighten public awareness? Scientists and artists, economists and environmentalists, come together to debate the scientific evidence and the policy implications in the third of the CRASSH series Debating the Evidence. A range of experts drawn from economics, environmental policy, energy, meteorology, atmospheric modelling, architecture, and the arts will debate the complex issues surrounding climate change and the implications for our global future. The day conference, consisting of presentations and debate, will be preceded by film excerpts from Art from a Changing Arctic with a discussion led by David Buckland, director of the Cape Farewell Project.
