Jenny Diski 

Jenny discussed the idea of writing as various forms of disappointment in her own experience as a writer and reading passages from her work – books of travel/memoir (Apologies For The Woman, Writing Skating to Antarctica, On Trying to Keep Still and just finished novel, Apology For The Woman Writing (to be published in the autumn 2008).

Jenny Diski was born in 1947 in London, where she has lived most of her life. She is the author of eight novels and two books of travel/memoir, two collections of essays and a volume of short stories. Her journalism has appeared in the Mail on Sunday, the Observer and the London Review of Books, amongst other publications.
