‘Working the Field: Pierre Bourdieu’s Postcolonial Encounters’
A reading and discussion group in which we will explore some of Pierre Bourdieu's early Algerian ethnographic work.
Our intention is to discover the extent to which Bourdieu’s Algerian experience influenced his later thinking.
Readings will be provided.
