CRASSH is thrilled to announce that two new projects will be joining the Centre for the Humanities and Social Change, Cambridge in October 2018: Expertise Under Pressure and Giving Voice to Digital Democracies: The Social Impact of Artificially Intelligent Communications Technology. Working in collaboration with leading thinkers, policymakers and practitioners across the globe, our teams will investigate the interface between technology and social change.

Funded for five years through the generous donation of the Humanities and Social Change International Foundation, the Centre for the Humanities and Social Change, Cambridge is currently one of four international centres. The other centres are at the Humboldt-University zu Berlin, the University of California Santa Barbara and Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. The aim of the Foundation and its initiatives is to champion the importance and influence of the humanities and social sciences in public discourse concerning the challenges facing today’s societies. In light of the increasing power of technology in all areas of life, this interdisciplinary approach will create a more intense and productive interconnection between the humanities and technology.
