About
Professor Han is Dean of the College of Liberal Studies at Seoul National University. He is an expert on modern Japanese society and history. He has a strong interest in broader questions of East Asia’s cultural integration and has a long association with UNESCO and its World Heritage programmes. He is currently leading UNESCO’s Global Citizenship transnational educational initiative and its Creative Cities initiative in Asia.
His contribution to Beyond the Cold War: Toward a Community of Asia, led by Professor Heonik Kwon, includes research on the past and future of educational and scientific exchanges in Asia.
