8 May 2019 12:00pm - 2:00pm Seminar Room SG1, Alison Richard Building, 7 West Road, Cambridge, CB3 9DT

Description

Alicia Garza (Leader of the Black Lives Matter Group)

This session will continue the previous session’s discussion on the performance of black radicalism in a digital world. We will invited a leader of the BlackLivesMatter group, Alicia Garza, to speak at the seminar – either in person or through Skype – and will discuss our thoughts from the previous session with her to see how contemporary black radical activists are, or are not, pursuing internationalism.

Alicia Garza is a leader of the BlackLivesMatter group, whose views are vital for understanding contemporary black radical politics.
