Description

Exhibition reception for No Matter How Close by Rachel Wooller. Meet the artist, refreshments will be served, all welcome!

No Matter How Close is one work across five plinths, focussing on the power and enigma of materiality and exploiting the sense of enclosure produced by the glass vitrines under which the work is placed, creating a sense of claustrophobia and threat.

Rachel Wooller is a Cambridge based contemporary mixed media artist. She has shown work around the UK, in group and solo exhibitions. Investigating the enigmatic power of materiality and drawn to contradiction, fragility and the intangible, her practice juxtaposes materials to create visual metaphors which explore the structures we are bound by.
