About

Dr Pablo Munoz Iturrieta holds a doctorate in Political Philosophy (2017), an MA in Philosophical Psychology (2009), and BA degrees in Theology (2006), Philosophy (2003), and the Humanities (1999). His doctoral dissertation was on The Meaning of Religious Freedom in the Secular Sphere (to be published in book form by Wipf & Stock, 2018). His dissertation aimed at redefining the notions employed in the debate on religious freedom and the place of religion in the public square, in order to find a more efficient solution to the problems that arise when the religious meets the secular. He suggests that we should look at religion from a new perspective, one that protects the religious freedom of citizens, as well as the secular setting in which we live.

He has taught numerous university and high-school courses in the USA, Canada, and Argentina, including politics, metaphysics, ethics, logic, philosophy of human nature, philosophy of religion, and Ancient and Modern languages. He has been invited to speak at numerous international conferences in the USA, Canada, England, Italy, Greece, and Argentina. In March 2018, Dr Pablo M. Iturrieta was the recipient of the Charles Taylor Prize for his work on secularism and the place of religion in the public sphere on the 150th Anniversary of Canada.
