Description

An event organised by the Futures in Question research network.

Speaker

  • Cheryl McEwan (Durham University)
  • Suvi Alt (University of Groningen)
  • Chris Sandbrook (University of Cambridge)

Abstract

Conservation work of all kinds is fundamentally future-oriented, framed by hopes for and fears of the future. This session explores how certain imagined futures and modes of anticipation shape different forms of biodiversity conservation from seed banking to nature preservation initiatives.
