Description

This session wil be in person. Due to current government restrictions, places will be limited. If you would like to attend, please REGISTER HERE IN ADVANCE.

Abstract

This will be the final session of the Auralities series at CRASSH. In lieu of a presentation about sound art, we thought it would be fitting to make sound (art) together. To that end, we’ll gather in person at Jesus Green, Cambridge to perform a collection of socially-distanced ‘Sonic Meditations’ and Deep Listening exercises by Pauline Oliveros (as well as perhaps some other Fluxus classics, time permitting). We’ll also use the opportunity to reflect on our discussions over the past two years in Auralities.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to current government restrictions, this session will be limited. If you would like to attend, REGISTER IN ADVANCE, please.

Also, we will be sitting on the grass, so please plan accordingly (feel free to bring a blanket, yoga mat, etc). Because we don’t have viable backup locations, the event will proceed even in the event of rain, so dress accordingly.
