Summary
This is the third meeting of the forum for research through art and creativity hosted at CRASSH for researchers working in the field between the sciences and the arts. This Forum enables researchers from all disciplines to meet at CRASSH to share ideas, and get feedback from peers on ideas and developments of research projects where artistic or creative (re)presentations are used to explore humanistic elements of life. The forum will be relevant for you if you are using or interested in research methods involving art and creativity, or if you are working as or with artists to develop research data collection methods or research communication methods.
As suggested at our last meeting, the invitation is for two days, but you can register for one or two days as you please:
May 16th: A planning meeting, where we will take forward the ideas that have come in from members of the forum. How do we want to progress the work of the forum?
Those of you who sign up for it have the possibility to end the day with a meal, and perhaps a show in the ADC theatre, see http://www.adctheatre.com/whats-on/musical/nine.aspx
May 17th: A conference day with exciting presentations and time to tell about and get feedback on your own project from your peers. The presentations will be by:
- Paul McIntosh: 'Embodying the Creative Arts and Humanities for Research, Reflection, Teaching and Learning: a case of multiple dialogues',
- Peter Day: “Arts and health, working in the NHS”
- Ashok Ranchhod & James Stallwood: Games, Health and Cancer. The Role of Health Games in improving men's health in preoperative and post operative cancer patients,
