21 Nov 2012 12:00pm - 2:00pm CRASSH SG1

Description

This workshop looks at building an active and effective online network using social media tools. We will cover strategies to build, extend and maintain your network, and making effective use of it for various purposes such as gathering information, staying in touch with developments in your field, finding a job or public engagement.

If possible, please bring any wifi enabled device you might own, such as a laptop, netbook, smartphone or tablet.

The Researcher Online series is offered by the Cambridge Digital Humanities network. The series aims to help Early Career Researchers in the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences develop a considered, strategic approach to using social media in their professional activities. The series is aimed specifically at those who do not yet use social media extensively in a professional capacity. The series is covered in more detail in the online programme DH23Things, which you can participate in to put the sessions' outcomes into practice.

The event is free to attend but registration will be required. Please click on the link at the right hand side of the page to book your place.
