To launch this year's reading group, we are holding an event at the Arts Picture House on Wednesday 15th October.
The cinema has kindly agreed to put on a screening of Fatih Akin's acclaimed 2007 drama 'THE EDGE OF HEAVEN' (Auf der anderen Seite), which examines the experiences of migrants between Germany and Turkey. The film will be screened at 4.30 and has English subtitles.
For those who are coming along in association with the CRASSH group, tickets will be available at a subsidized rate of £2.50.
After the screening, we will relocate up to the Picture House bar for a chance to meet the group and informally discuss plans for the year ahead. For those who cannot make the film, please do come along for the drinks afterwards, which should start around 6.40- we look forward to seeing you there.
