Anna Seecharan joined CRASSH in February 2019 as a Research Project Administrator, supporting the ERC-funded project Genius Before Romanticism: Ingenuity in Early Modern Art and Science and Beyond the Cold War, toward a Community of Asia, a research project funded by the Academy of Korean Studies.

Previously Anna worked in the Research and Enterprise Division at the University of East Anglia as a Research Administrator for the Faculties of Social Sciences and Humanities. Prior to this she worked at SOAS, University of London for 9 years as an Academic Support Officer in the Department of Development Studies.

Anna holds an MA in the Anthropology of Food from SOAS, University of London, where she won the SOAS Prize for Best Postgraduate Student 2017–18. Her research, which explored the impact of anosmia on food, identity and belonging, was awarded the Department of Anthropology and Sociology’s Prize for Best Dissertation in 2017-18.
