Relation Through Confusion: Indistinction and Enchantment in a Living Amazon Forest

Attending ethnographically to multi-species relations in and around an Upper Amazonian forest has encouraged me to think of relating as based upon something other than intrinsic difference (or identity, its supposed flipside).

I explore this as an opportunity to reflect critically upon implicit assumptions about otherness central to our discipline and to the ways this affects how we conceive of  ‘the human,’ agency, personhood, and the self.
