Dr. Santanu Das (Queen Mary, University of London)
Santanu Das is a Senior lecturer in English at Queen Mary, University of London, and has held research fellowships at St. John’s College, Cambridge, and at the British Academy, London. He is the author of Touch and Intimacy in First World War Literature (Cambridge, 2006, ppbk 2008) which won a Philip Leverhulme Prize in 2009. He has just completed editing for Cambridge a book titled Race, Empire and Writing the First World War, and will be giving the British Academy Chatterton lecture later this year on the poetry of D.H.Lawrence.
