Dr. Pascale Rabault-Feuerhahn (CNRS, Paris)
Pascale Rabault-Feuerhahn is a tenured research scientist at CNRS (French National Center for Scientific Research) in Paris. Her main areas of research interest are the history of the human sciences, Oriental philology, interactions between philology and (cultural) anthropology. The focus of her research is on 19th century Germany but she works in a transnational perspective. She is the author of L’Archive des origines. Sanskrit, Philologie, anthropologie dans l’Allemagne du XIXe siècle (Paris, Cerf, 2008) and she has co-edited Itinéraires orientalistes entre France et Allemagne (Paris, CNRS éditions, 2008). Her current project is on the origins and the spread of the comparative method in the human sciences.
