Banking on the State
The presentation will discuss the accumulation of various "excesses" in the financial system over the past 30 years - credit, returns, innovation etc - and the extension of the safety net this has resulted in. It will then discuss various public policy responses - data, regulation, structure - to address these excesses, drawing on lessons from other disciplines.
