Interdisciplinary Research Training Network (IRTN)

The Interdisciplinary Research Training Network, an AHRC funded project to develop post-graduate research training in the humanities, has enjoyed continued success in 2007/08. CRASSH hosts the IRTN, provides a web presence for the programme and acts as a regional hub within the network coordinating events.

The aim of the IRTN is to develop the provision of research training at a national level through inter-university collaboration.  From an initial group of fifteen partner institutions, the network has continued to grow and CRASSH has hosted recent IRTN events with graduate researchers and speakers from the London Consortium, the Royal College of Art and the University of Amsterdam.

A number of small student bursaries available to contribute towards attending events convened by IRTN members. In the first instance students should apply for relevant funding from their respective institutions, and to the Roberts fund. In the event that this is not forthcoming, they may apply for an IRTN travel bursary. To apply for a travel bursary, please download and return the completed application form to irtn@crassh.cam.ac.uk.

The IRTN mailing list provides news and listings of events that are hosted by or that may be of interest to members of the network.  Sign up to the IRTN mailing list here
