IRTN event funding
Deadline for applications 15 December 2008
As a part of the closing phase of the AHRC-funded Interdisciplinary Research Training Network (IRTN) initiative, applications for funding are invited from members of the network to support interdisciplinary training events during the current academic year. Up to £750 will be awarded to support each event, which must be held during the academic year 2008-09. Applications should be made before 15 December 2008.
Events eligible for funding may include workshops focused on methodologies for interdisciplinary research, workshops or conferences aimed at facilitating interdisciplinary graduate engagement around particular themes, and research skills (including digital humanities) relevant to the Arts and Humanities.
Events should be promoted as ' organised as part of the IRTN initiative' and carry the IRTN and AHRC logo. As a condition of award, an event report should be submitted to the Centre for Research in the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities (CRASSH) within one month of the event. Reports will be posted on the IRTN website.
Proposals should be no more than 1000 words in length including provisional budget. It should be clearly stated which department or departments support/s the application and will be responsible for administering funds. Applications should also include the name of the graduate training officer or departmental chair, along with the name, position and contact details of the principal applicant/s.
