Dr Mark B Salter

Mark Salter is associate professor in the School of Political Studies at the University of Ottawa. He researches in the areas of mobility, borders, postcolonialism and international relations theory. Recent publications include Politics at the Airport (ed), Global Surveillance and Policing (ed with Elia Zureik), Rights of Passage: The Passport in International Relations and Barbarians and Civilization in International Relations. While at CRASSH, he will be working on a project entitled 'The politics of places in-between' which will involve a conceptual analysis of the thought of Edward Said in the discipline of International Relations and an edited volume on the interstices of international space.
