Friday, 28 March to Saturday, 29 March
Location: CRASSH, 17 Mill Lane

Conveners:

Andrew Gamble (Social and Political Sciences, Cambridge)
David Lane (Social and Political Sciences, Cambridge)

Previous workshops have considered specific aspects of strategic elites and the European Union, in this workshop we reflect on the wider role of Europe and the European Union in World politics. Objectives of the conference are to consider the extent of elite consensus and division on the development of the European Union and the extent to which an 'all European' elite consensus is emerging through convergence. We also consider relations with 'the others' - particularly the East and the USA.
