1 Nov 2018 17:15 - 18:30 Babbage Lecture Theatre, New Museums Site, Pembroke Street, Cambridge CB2 3QF

Description

Our CRASSH Impact speaker this Michaelmas Term is Professor Homi Bhabha from Harvard, one of the foundational figures in postcolonial studies. On 1 November 2018, he will be giving a free public lecture, ‘The Burdened Life: On Migration and the Humanities’, at the Babbage Lecture Theatre in Cambridge.

Update on ticket availability:

• This lecture is fully booked. As regards the waitlist, we have asked ticket holders to notify us if they can no longer attend the event and returned tickets will be reassigned shortly.

• If any seats are unoccupied by 17:10 on the day, we will offer them to people without a ticket. You are welcome to come to the venue in the hope that this is possible, but we expect the majority of ticket holders to attend as planned. The queue will start from the western entrance to the lecture theatre (accessed via Downing Street). We do also intend to film the lecture and make this available via CRASSH’s website from next week.

Please note that this event will be photographed and filmed, and that the photographs and recordings will be made available in all manner of media, including on the Internet.
