Communicating Reproduction – Sharing From Inside the Counselling Room
Tracey Sainsbury (Infertility Counsellor at the London Women’s Clinic).
Abstract
Hedgehogs on a beach with baggage… or how storytelling and imagery are used to explore the implications of assisted conception with donated gametes. Tracey will share how she works with different client groups, both clinic patients considering treatment and donors either through the egg or sperm bank or within an egg share programme, to help them to feel grounded, realistic, un-blinkered and hopefully optimistic about any decisions made moving forward, whether they proceed or choose not to continue
