Description

Sheena Byrom (OBE, Practicing Midwife and Chair of the Royal College of Midwives Campaign for Normal Birth)

Abstract

The fear of childbirth has become an increasingly debated phenomena over the past 10 years. But where did this fear come from, and what impact is it having on women, babies, maternity care workers and society at large?  What, if anything, can be done to reverse the trend? Sheena's session will explore all of the above, with an aim to maximise potential for a positive childbirth experience for all women
