17 May 2011 11:30am - 1:45pm CRASSH Seminar Room

Description

Full-time permanent academic appointments are getting scarcer, freelance working and ‘portfolio careers’ (having more than one job at a time) are on the increase.  This session enables you to hear from academics who work, or have worked, outside academia while also maintaining a profile in their academic field. The session includes group work in which you and your peers help each other to think of congenial ways in which you can work on several fronts, successively or simultaneously, and how to go about making it happen.

Organised by CRASSH Postdoc Forum and the Careers Service.

The event is free and open to all postdocs in the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities.

Booking is essential, please use the link on the right-hand side of the page to the Careers Service diary (Raven log-in required).
