Storify: Crushing (on) Azurite

And the results! How do you think we did?

Two CRASSH Research Projects, Genius Before Romanticism: Ingenuity in Early Modern Art and Science and Making Visible: The Visual and Graphic Practices of the Early Royal Society, teamed up with Columbia University's The Making and Knowing Project and the Fitzwilliam Museum to crush the blue copper mineral, azurite. The following Storify combines tweets and photographs from the event, which took place on 5 June 2017 and formed part of a workshop on ingenious materials, objects and techniques. Many thanks to Dr Spike Bucklow of the Hamilton Kerr Institute who led the session.
