From Da Vinci to Artificial Intelligence – CRASSH at the Festival of Ideas 2019

We are thrilled to be offering a record-breaking number of events for the matchless Festival of Ideas this year. We feel a particular pleasure in CRASSH to be able to help to attract new audiences into the University, and relish the opportunity to help make our research resound beyond its usual confines.

Steven Connor, Director, CRASSH

With hundreds of free events over two weeks, the Cambridge Festival of Ideas is one of the most exciting and dynamic occasions in the Cambridge cultural calendar. The Festival includes debates, workshops, talks, exhibitions and performances, celebrating the arts, humanities and social sciences. The 2019 Festival will take place from 14 – 27 October.
CRASSH members are involved in 10 events at the Festival this year, spanning right across our interdisciplinary range of research activities. From Da Vinci to AI, Decarbonisation to Slum Rehabilitation, Ancient Graffiti to Hate Speech – there will be something for everyone.
